1 DAY OTWAY OUTING MOTORBIKE ADVENTURE TOUR

The Great Otway Outing Motorbike Tour is a one day adventure starting in Geelong. With an early start we’ll ride through the Anglesea Heath and make our way to our first stop in Lorne for morning coffee and refuel if needed. From Lorne we’ll make our way along the world famous Great Ocean Road.  A side track will see you experience some early 19th century wood mill ruins nestled next to the majestic Carisbrook Creek.

A ride through the Otway ranges is not complete without experiencing Turtons Track, one the windiest bitumen roads in the Otways. Soon after, you’ll visit the surreal Californian Redwoods, a plantation experiment planted in the 1930s. Initially it was felt the plantation was a failure because the trees were slow growing, but when you see the height of the Californian Redwood trees some 90 years later you’ll wonder whether the experiment was abandoned too early.

After the Californian Redwoods we’ll ride to Gellibrand, home of the Adventure Bike Shop to enjoy a well deserved lunch and refreshments at the Gellibrand River General Store. Lunch will consist of Lasagne, salad and chips with your choice of one drink eg. tea, coffee, orange juice, soft drink or energy drink.

After lunch we’ll visit either Stevenson Falls or the West Barwon Reservoir spillway depending on time. Then make our way back to Geelong via some meandering scenic back roads.
